Job Summary:

Typical duties include analyzing financial information and preparing basic financial reports and statements; supervise the work of others, examining various financial reports for completeness, accuracy and conformance with accounting standards; projecting accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on overall financial condition; preparing account entries to document business transactions; and auditing contracts, vouchers, etc.

Prepare monthly journal entries for all entities within the department, post journal entries into software, reconcile monthly cash report, and reconcile cash and credit cards, and reconcile to monthly project activity reports. Reconciles all monthly expenditures to the requisitions to ensure proper authorization and payment for all departmental entities.

Participates in invoice coding, entering invoices and payments into software, and processing checks to vendors.

Participates in the annual budget development and submission process.

Participates in the annual audits and tax filing processes.

Prepares all monthly accounts receivable invoices, tracks payments, and prepares accounts payable documentation and checks for leadership approval.

Participates in ad-hoc analyses for the department for leadership and other team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting and 5 years accounting experience required. Knowledge of accounting standards, policies, and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with healthcare accounting. Masters degree, CPA, or certification health care related organization preferred, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables) and database management applications such as Accessor SQL a plus. Knowledge of physician office billing and coding processes preferred.
