Norgate Technology Sr. Project Manager (Credit Risk) in Syosset, New York
Norgate Technology in Syosset, NY is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead IT projects for its clients. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Computer Science principles and concepts, as well as experience with advanced financial modeling and software project management tools to perform the following duties: •Manage project plans, risk matrices, issues lists, and related project documents for successful implementation. •Oversee the entire process of handling raw data, including modeling and supporting the data engineering team. •Coordinate the development, installation, and operation of Barclays capital market solutions. •Apply data analysis, statistical, and mathematical techniques for problem-solving and developing solutions. •Write and test code in Python and SQL for financial data manipulation and modeling. •Design and deliver integrated Barclays capital markets modeling solutions to clients. •Monitor data integration and ETL tasks, ensuring software product quality and efficiency. •Conduct client training sessions on product use, system strategy, management, and security. •Gather user requirements, design, develop, and test financial solutions. •Utilize innovative analytical methods for problem detection and reporting improvement. •Provide industry best practices and training to enhance analytical skills. •Collaborate with experts to define analytics problems and use cases. •Consult with financial professionals to evolve trading practices and develop new technology platforms. •Develop process automation plans and technical specifications. •Perform testing and support for post-production releases and applications in multiple time zones. •Work with middle office and controller professionals to produce and implement business requirements. •Collaborate closely with front office traders to maintain a robust data infrastructure. Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) providing the required skills. Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following: 1.Bayesian inference 2.Linear Algebra 3.Python 4.SQL 5.Credit risk modeling solutions (One of more: PD, LGD, EAD, stress testing, economic capital) 6.Tableau 7.Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) 8.Jira 9.Documenting User Requirements No Travel.
