Help shape the future working with the most advanced radar systems in the industry! Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector Test Engineering organization is seeking an Antenna Test Engineer /Principal Antenna Test Engineer for 2ND SHIFT to be an instrumental part of Northrop Grumman's Test Engineering Team in Sykesville, MD . The ideal candidate will also have experience using Matlab to analyze data.
There is a shift differential (higher pay) for 2ND SHIFT.
What You'll Get to Do :
Antenna test equipment design in support of factory phased array testing
Test software and test equipment design related to phased array testing in a Nearfield Antenna Range
Troubleshoot RF issues during test of advanced antenna systems.
Support technicians with troubleshooting and training
Analyze test data and identify early trends
Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
Sensitivity to cost, schedule and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures is imperative

This requisition may be filled as an Antenna Test Engineer or a Principal Antenna Test Engineer based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for an Antenna Test Engineer:
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in science, engineering, or other STEM-related discipline plus 2 years of experience (0 years with a Masters)
Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment
Experience with software, such as C++, C#, MATLAB, etc.
Familiarity with RF and antenna theory
US Citizenship
Department of Defense (DoD) active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to starting
Ability to work 2ND SHIFT, which starts around 3pm
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Antenna Test Engineer :
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in science, engineering, or other STEM-related discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience; or a Masters degree with 3 years of experience
Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment
Experience with software, such as C++, C#, MATLAB, etc.
Familiarity with RF and antenna theory
US Citizenship
Department of Defense (DoD) active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to starting
Ability to work 2ND SHIFT, which starts around 3pm
Preferred Qualifications
RF test experience and/or antenna test/range experience
Software development experience with antenna/RF analysis and/ test measurement systems
Test development experience in a nearfield antenna range
Experience with MATLAB to assist in sorting and analyzing large datasets
Current SAP clearance
MANUMS
Salary Range: $85,400 - $128,000
Salary Range 2: $105,400 - $158,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
