Senior Technical Business Analyst

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Senior Technical BA to help us navigate through projects and be the crucial liaison between technical, product and business audiences.

You will be part of a high performing delivery team who is responsible for building a business critical platform, an application that enables and streamlines Aon’s entire placement process in one system. The platform provides an interactive service between Aon and our partners, allowing market competition to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

What the day will look like

You will play a key role in ensuring business and customer outcomes are achieved.

This includes:

  • Capturing detailed requirements from business requirements documentation, integration specifications and workshops/meetings

  • Analysing and facilitating in the design of software solutions

  • Leading and managing requirements walk through and demos with key business stakeholders and technical teams

  • Translating requirements into high quality user stories with supporting artifacts including mock-ups/wireframes, workflow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and data mapping specifications

  • Creating acceptance criteria based on build requirements

  • Ensuring requirements are understood, developed, tested and delivered to specification

  • Supporting team members in project activities when necessary

  • Facilitating workshops to drive outcomes, including being able to deal with and manage conflict with different stakeholders when necessary

Skills and Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Experience working with web applications and data extraction in Oracle Databases

  • Understanding of JSON data structures and APIs (Application Programming Interface)

  • Knowledge in SDLC Methodologies such as Agile and experience in working in an Agile Environment

  • A strong team player who thrives as part of a high performing team, approachable and a strong collaborator across diverse set of internal technical teams

  • Ability to adapt to situations and changing circumstances, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and relating to stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clarity and confidence to both technical audience and business users

  • Takes ownership and commit to delivering high quality outcomes

  • Prior exposure in Insurance (highly regarded)
