We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the team supporting a portfolio of retail centres in Western Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will support the strategic marketing and communication in collaboration with the broader Centre Management Team to maximise the trading performance of our client’s centres, enhance sales performance and uphold individual centre retail brands.

This opportunity involves creating unique campaigns, including digital and in-centre activities as well as engaging with local community groups and individual retailers to drive traffic flow. This position would be perfect for an existing retail marketing executive with creative flair, great written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for retail.

Here’s a snapshot of your day

  • Execute the Centre's marketing plan

  • Ensure spend is aligned to marketing budgets

  • Reporting on the success of campaigns and activations

  • Liaising with retailers, customers, agencies and the community

  • The ability to proactively solve problems and a determination to deliver quality work

  • Assist with social media strategies, advertising and web content

  • Ideally to be successful in this role you will need to be a highly organised, an enthusiastic team player and be able to demonstrate superior communication and interpersonal skills.

The preferred candidate will be

  • Degree qualified in Marketing And/Or experience in a retail marketing position

  • Willingness to be ‘out & about’ – This role requires you to be engaging onsite with retailers weekly and visiting various centres.

  • Excellent customer service experience and a proven ability to build strong relationships with client groups.

  • Experience managing digital assets (Social media, online websites).

  • A Passion for ‘creating’ and thinking differently about exciting events and promotions that create engaging experiences for customers.

This role is ideally suited for someone who is passionate about creating engaging retail experiences and is familiar with the various functions within a Shopping Centre. The successful candidate will need to thrive in a busy environment. Creative flexibility and ownership are the epitome of this role!
