Amazon ANZ Consumer Operations Lead, Project Kuiper, Kuiper in Sydney, Australia
Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites that will provide high-speed, low-latency broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Project Kuiper Consumer Business is looking for a talented individual to lead our operations across ANZ. As one of our valued team members, you will be obsessed with matching our standards for operational excellence with a relentless focus on delighting our customers. A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization and adept at understanding how satellite field service operations, inventory planning and device fulfillment works in ANZ. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially in support of Internet Service Provider (ISP) related consumer products or services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving process improvements and leading large scale operations.
This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.
Key job responsibilities
Establish and scale the consumer operations team in ANZ.
Operate our professional satellite systems installation and maintenance network for consumers in ANZ.
Review historical sales and subscriber forecasts, research demand drivers, analyse forecast data, validate and optimise assumptions, and translate forecasts into operational plans and requirements (i.e., inventory management, delivery, installation, service calls).
Partner with global planning, forward logistics, and reverse logistics teams to optimise regional inventory allocation, local inventory placement, storage capacity, and fulfillment processes.
Once operational, meet our performance measurement criteria and drive process improvement across the business operations work stream, and focus on optimising costs and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data, and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders. Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years managing business metrics related to field operations in Australia or New Zealand
7+ years experience in consumer telecommunications or satellite services
Previous experience scaling new product operations
Undergraduate degree or related working experience
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast paced culture
Ability to apply high level analytical and creative problem-solving skills
