TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

Your main tasks:

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision: Provide dynamic strategic direction for the Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering teams, overseeing Manufacturing Plants and key vendor partnerships to drive operational excellence.

  • Engineering Excellence: Lead a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, identifying opportunities and prioritizing projects through data-driven methodologies like Six Sigma and A3 problem-solving frameworks to achieve lasting, sustainable results.

  • Operational Strategy Alignment : Shape and support the operational strategy for your area, aligning it with broader organizational goals to ensure efficient execution and optimal performance.

  • Process Optimization: Define and implement robust process monitoring techniques to accurately measure and optimize key process characteristics, driving continuous improvement.

  • Innovation & Collaboration: Partner with development teams to successfully bring innovative product and process solutions to market, ensuring seamless execution of launches.

  • Organizational Development: Play a key role in shaping the operational strategy and developing an agile organization that supports evolving business objectives, managing complex teams with diverse functions.

  • Customer-Centric Strategy: Develop engineering strategies to deliver exceptional value and experiences to both internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong, long-term relationships.

  • Risk Management & Compliance: Proactively identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Build and maintain a high-performing, motivated engineering team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the Capex budget for your area of responsibility, ensuring smart allocation of resources to drive growth and improvements.

  • Policy Adherence & Safety: Ensure that performance and development activities adhere to company policies and procedures, while actively supporting and driving safety initiatives across all operations.

  • Innovation & Market Adaptability: Lead the charge in driving innovation, constantly adapting strategies to meet changing market demands and technological trends.

  • Efficiency Optimization: Analyze and plan workforce utilization, equipment layout, and workflow processes to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Process Enhancement: Continuously adapt and refine traditional approaches to increase quality, reduce costs, and add value to existing methods.

  • Problem-Solving & Scheduling: Tackle technical challenges and determine the best course of action to meet project deadlines, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across the board.

Your ideal background:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Business Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • Relevant experience in Controlling and/or a Project environment (e.g., 3+ years, or equivalent exposure)

  • Knowledge of automotive products and processes is a plus but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn

  • Experience with tools such as SAP FI/CO and PowerBI is preferred; we provide training opportunities for motivated learners

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with support available for continued development

  • Analytical skills to uncover risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights

  • Ability to influence others and transform data into meaningful insights that drive action.
