As a colleague in Business, you will help us drive the business aspects of our manufacturing operations as they relate to all production resources use, and optimization. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in labor modelling, SAP, industrial methods, and engineering. This role focuses on tactical execution and strategic planning to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the execution of day-to-day staffing, which includes permanent and temporary labor, fully supports the existing efforts of labor strategy to maintain the continuity of the labor pool based on staffing model.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of manufacturing operations to identify and address inefficiencies working with the functional areas. Create tools that support shop floor needs with scheduling and training overviews.

  • Develop and manage labor models to optimize workforce allocation and productivity within the platform and across the Site. Forecasting and tracking staffing across FFP to meet financial goals. Ensuring critical staffing levels are maintained to meet business and project demands in alignment with budget. Interface directly with shop floor management team to determine critical business needs and changes.

  • Interface with Drug Substance Business Systems and internal operations to drive the site Flex model and optimize resource use between Drug Substance and Drug Product and within FFIP. Tactical and strategic pre-planning, execution and follow through required.

  • Leverage the use of data in SAP to identify optimal cost models in operations, cost reduction opportunities.

  • Contribute to Strat Plan and Budget Cycles with quick turnaround of accurate information and models that support the business and operations.

  • Maintain manufacturing recipes in SAP up to date according to changes in production using data and industrial assessments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain, to develop and execute operational strategies.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

  • Drive the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and methodologies to support long-term strategic goals.

  • Train and guide team members on best practices and strategic processes.

  • Perform routine GEMBA walks to engage and collaborate with shop floor management and technicians to ensure that the strategies of labor implementation are matching the need.

  • Interface with outside labor agencies to manage temporary workforce needs, including managing but not limited to, ramp ups and ramp downs.

  • Able to learn new applications and become the SME and qualified training coordinator for operations.

About you

  • Experience : the ideal candidate will have proven experience in manufacturing operations, labor models, industrial methods, and resource planning.

  • Soft skills : Leadership, negotiation, teamwork, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and influence.

  • Technical skills : Lean Manufacturing (SMS), Six Sigma, ERP, Excel, data visualization, and exposure to Gen AI tools a big plus.

  • Education : Combination of education and experience in the fields of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations or Business Management are a strongly desirable. 3-5 years’ experience.
