As a Senior Analyst, Finance you will oversee multiple bakery locations to collect, analyze, and present key data for evaluation of bakery performance. This role involves preparing detailed analyses on production variances, capacity utilization, and expenses while performing critical month-end close activities and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations. You'll collaborate closely with operations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support process enhancements at the bakery level.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, evaluate, and present data about the bakeries internal financial and operational performance, with an emphasis on accurate and timely delivery of results.
• Prepare weekly Bakery analysis on:
  • Capacity utilization
  • Spend
  • Material usage variance
  • Temp labor
• Process Orders
  • Analyze production process order variances to ensure that production information is accurate and complete. Provide insight to operations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures that production process orders are financially settled and closed.
  • Ensure proper month end processing cut off.
• Perform month end close procedures for the bakeries
  • Calculate accruals and prepare journal entries
  • Perform and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
• Perform GR/IR discrepancy investigation and resolution. Identify root cause to support bakery level process improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or general business is required
• 2+ years of accounting experience is required
• Accounting experience in food industry is preferred
• SAP and BOBJ experience is preferred
• Professional designation (CPA/CMA) is preferred
• Computer literate in spreadsheet and word applications
• Understanding of cost accounting, month end closings and journal entries
• Willingness to be out in the plants partnering with operations required
• Travel approximately 15%
