Description
Specialty client located in the Southern New Jersey area has partnered with Robert Half on their search for a Senior Accountant to oversee their accounting transactions. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, overseeing fixed assets, performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, manage sales and use tax, assist with planning the annual budget, maintaining system controls, and join in on the annual physical inventory process. We are looking for a Senior Accountant with solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.
Your responsibilities in this role:
Manage the daily activities of cash reconciliations and accounts receivables.
Coordinate with sales and use tax partners to ensure compliance with various taxing authorities and timely and accurate filing of returns/payments.
Coordinate the interactions with the tax preparers, ensure proper filing of State and Federal Taxes.
Resolve problems and identify system improvements to meet accounting operational standards.
Requirements
The ideal Senior Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:
3+ years G/L experience, some cash experience.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience with financial accounting software and ERPs (Experience with Dynamics NAV preferred).
Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience preferred.
