Basic Job Functions:
Provide leadership in all Environmental matters for NBG-SC/VA.
Work with our environment consultants and Federal, State, and local agencies on all environmental compliance, permitting, reporting and correspondence (i.e. Air Permits, Wastewater, Hazardous and non-Hazardous waste).
Represent NBG-SC/VA at Corporate and NBG environmental meetings, training sessions, and plant audits.
Maintain division environmental accreditation such as ISO 14001 or other system.
Continuously improve and maintain the Environmental Management System.
Provide and track all required environmental training of employees and contractors.
Basic Job Functions: continue
Oversee handling, recycling, and disposal of all waste streams.
Participate in local environmental organizations and legislative advocacy programs.
Lead environmental-related community outreach projects.
Provide back-up support for the Safety Department and environmental needs of our Virginia facility.
Develop goals and track performance with respect to Nucor Presidents Environmental Award criteria.
SDS systems management.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Willing and able to travel for up to a week at a time, several times per year for meetings, audits, and training.
Proficiency with common software including Microsoft Office.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
