**[JOB SUMMARY

[This position is responsible for directing and coaching the colleges womens softball program.

• Plans and manages practices.
• Recruits student athletes.
• Schedules games.
• Manages games; schedules referees; directs the preparation of facilities.
• Monitors the academic progress of student athletes.
• Teaches student athletes the fundamentals of the sport.
• Fundraising and promotions.
• Budget Management.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Conference, institutional, and sport rules knowledge and compliance.
• Team travel administration and supervision.
• Performs related duties.
• Oversee Softball Camps
• Provides safe transportation of East Georgia State College students in the approved fleet or rental vehicle.

[KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION ]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

Knowledge of NJCAA, GCAA, University System of Georgia, East Georgia State College, Athletic Department rules and regulations.

Knowledge of college-level athletic program management principles.

Knowledge of softball rules and procedures.

Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.

Skill in the coaching and training of student athletes.
