Microsoft Corporation Senior Software Engineer in Suzhou, China

Microsoft AI Data team is responsible for developing and operating one of the world’s largest data eco-system: PiB data has been being processed, stored and accessed via the data API every day by streaming/batches, from instrumentation to analytics. Besides, modern open-source technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Kylin and Click House are widely used in the team to run the big data business successfully. Thousands of developers in Bing, Ads, MSN, and Edge are working on top of the data products that the team build. We’re looking for passionate software engineering manager to join us for the mission of powering Microsoft Search/Ads/MSN businesses through data substrate and infusing our data capabilities to the industry.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and cross team communication for Ads Data scenarios to support Ads Business to grow. Deep understanding the bigdata platform and opensource stacks to improve BI stack reliability, drive the 10X scaling and cost reduction. COGS saving (Azure, MT, Cosmos) and contribute to RPM features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years working experience, and solid experience of shipping high performance C#, Java, Scala or equivalent language code software.

• Understanding of distributed system and data parallel computing is preferred.

• Domain knowledge of ads, search or content services is a plus.

• Experience of designing mission critical data pipelines with SLA commitment is a plus.

• Quick learning and solid problem solving and debugging skills.

• Accountable and proactive

• Good communication skill, fluent in English (both oral and written)
