The Intelligent Conversation and Communications Cloud (IC3) powers billions of real-time customer conversations in products across the Microsoft ecosystem (including Skype, Teams, and Dynamics) and third-party apps and experiences through Azure Communication Services. Our services are the foundation for reliable and high-quality audio/video calls, meetings, and messaging on desktop, mobile, web, and embedded endpoints.

IC3’s mission is to make conversations more intelligent, creating best-in-class productivity tools for the modern workplace with the promise that every call, meeting, or chat makes the next one better.

Responsibilities

As a software development engineer in the team, you will have the chance to work on projects that will bring entire IC3 to the next level, including but not limited to:

  • creating infrastructure-as-code and unified buildout automation to enable IC3 services efficiently setup in the new regional cloud that Microsoft offers;

  • enhancing the resiliency of IC3 services by implementing distributed cloud service best practice and patterns;

  • improving the monitoring capabilities by creating unified probes, telemetry and metrics;

  • increasing the security of IC3 services by adopting multiple advanced security solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, Java, C++, GO.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Knowledge of distributed systems and a strong grasp of the design principles for highly scalable, highly available systems.

  • Solid English verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experienced with microservice architecture, aware of the advantages and disadvantages.

  • Skilled in working with and setting up Kubernetes clusters in commercial environments.

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud and its various computing and non-computing services.
