Job Designation This position supports the Trade Compliance Department in all tasks associated with Export Compliance and Classification. Job Specifications: Manage the Parts Database in Cost Point Work directly with vendors to get the classification information on parts; Request the COO, ECCN, and HTS/SCH B# from Purchasing if unable to determine it through contact with the vendors. This relates to Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) parts. Classify parts on your own if unable to get classification through vendor. If part is controlled by Commerce determine its ECCN Go to the provided websites for researching classification of parts If part was designed or developed by InVeris, verify specifics of design and ultimate destination to determine how it is controlled utilizing collaboration with Engineering Department personnel Write rationales for major assemblies/systems. Update Cost Point daily with new information on parts, e.g., HTS code, Sch B#, ECCN, and/or Country of Origin (COO) Continually read up on export rules, definitions, and watch webinars as time permits Go to the different websites within the US Government and familiarize yourself with the changing laws and requirements ITAR, EAR99, etc Review all new and/or changed Drawings for export statement and classification designations Prepare licenses for Commerce Participate in annual weapons audit Prepare and approve export documentation paperwork Review and revise compliance work procedures on a regular basis Requirements: Good communication skills: able to work with peers, middle and upper management; able to express needs and expectations without conflict; Strong personality: able to follow direction with minimal direction Strong Grammatical skills: reading, writing, editing Technical and Analytical skills: Reviewing documents and technical data, able to understand and analyze technical communications Computer skills: Intermediate Level on - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Trainable on - Cost Point, Adobe Pro Independence and decision-making skills: ability and willingness to make necessary decisions Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes rushed environment Other: Flexibility: able to adjust schedule if warranted; Promptness and consistency in attendance Company Website www.inveristraining.com This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
