       License and Certification Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership and/or Support Personnel License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required.Experience Qualifications: Five years of progressively responsible experience in a technology related field required, to include the management of AV media technology operations in a large environment. Experience in K-12 AV media development, service and support and previous leadership experience in a related AV media or broadcast technology field preferred.Skills Qualifications: Strong leadership skills and the ability to build productive cross-functioning working relationships within the organization; outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation and instruction skills; ability to work with individuals in various roles and levels throughout the organization; advanced project management skills including knowledge of appropriate methodology, technology, and principals that will drive successful development, execution, and delivery of projects in the time given; ability to balance multiple responsibilities specific to the position while ensuring the needs of the administration and organization at large are addressed; ability to work well within a variety of settings and with a variety of interest groups; experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and other supporting software; experience in applying, adapting, and maintaining the concepts and principles of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI); and ability to integrate technology, both hardware and software, along with best practices for the specific groups and or individuals to efficiently and effectively complete district objectives. High degree of skill in oral and written communications; high degree of skill in organization and problem-solving; demonstrated leadership experience; strong experience and knowledge of classroom and presentation AV media and broadcast technologies; ability to research, create, and implement comprehensive plans providing AV media and video technology deployments and upgrades for school and system needs; skills in directing, planning, forecasting, and scheduling tasks needed for major district AV media and broadcast technology projects; ability to work collaboratively with other departments and divisions; and ability to act as a representative of Gwinnett County Public Schools.Primary Responsibilities: Direct and manage the technological support provided to the Board of Education and administration of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) and direct the AV media and broadcast technology deployments, service, and support for local schools and district offices. 1. Direct the support provided to the Board of Education of Gwinnett County Public Schools by providing world-class technological assistance.a. Direct the support of day-to-day technology and system needs and issues.b. Plan, coordinate and ensure after-hours support and weekend support, as needed.c. Assist with application specific issues and needs to utilize current and future tools and resources.d. Support the Board of Education Meetings, Area Board Meetings, and special called Board of Education Meetings with technology and processes required by the district's Board for each meeting.e. Direct the support, assistance, and backup of the e-Agenda.f. Provide technological oversight with logistical aspects of the meetings and support the Board Coordinator. 2. Direct and support the administration of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) in meeting and exceeding the demands of technology in day-to-day operations.a. Ensure processes are in place to deliver world-class customer support for the following: CEO/Superintendent, Division Chiefs, Associate Superintendents, Media and Community Relations, and all administrative assistants, to include solutions for day-to-day needs as well as application specific issues.b. Participate in the involvement in developing, refining, and implementing processes to effectively share, inform, and communicate data and information.c. Implement and develop new technology based/aided systems, procedures, and techniques.d. Act as the liaison between GCPS administration and the Technology and Innovation (T&I) Division.e. Collaborate with other departments and divisions within Gwinnett County Public Schools, as well as vendors, in order to support ongoing, future initiatives identified by the district.3. Collaborate with Instructional Technology and Innovation Department to identify innovative technology and strategies at district office for continuous integration of concepts of high-reliability, organization coherence, and continuous quality improvement in the district?s operations.4. Collaborate with Instructional Technology and Innovation Department to lead and direct district-wide AV media technology retrofit and upgrades.a. Evaluate current and future AV media technology solutions for deploying in local schools, classrooms, and district meeting spaces.b. Collaborate with district leadership, Technology & Innovation Division (T&I) leadership and local school technology team members on selecting appropriate AV media technology solutions for local schools, classrooms, and district meeting spaces.c. Provide project management for deployments and installations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.d. Collaborate with other T&I directors, coordinators, and team leads to ensure school-wide and district projects are completed successfully and on schedule.e. Engage with vendors to negotiate best pricing for equipment and services to assist with installation and integration of AV media technologies. 5. Lead and direct AV media and broadcast technology support and repair services. a. Review incident reports from customers for repair and support services to ensure timely responses for customers.b. Ensure processes are in place to communicate with customers as needed in an effective and timely fashion.c. Provide reports on service records and repair statistics to the Executive Director of Enterprise Support Services and other T&I leadership for analysis of trends to ensure adequate support and funding.6. Collaborate with Instructional Technology and Innovation Department on the annual AV and Interactive Technology Bid.a. Recommend the AV technology needs for local schools and the district office.b. Provide oversight to ensure product descriptions and specifications are provided to the Purchasing and Property Management Department for inclusion in the annual bids, along with supplemental bids if the need arises.c. Provide oversight in the evaluation of bids after they close and determine the bid winners for each item.d. Provide oversight in the development of the annual AV Catalog for local schools and the district to have access to information about the technology items. 7. Assist the Executive Director of Enterprise Support Services with management functions required for this position.a. Supervise and guide AV media technology staff.b. Provide budget assistance to the Executive Director of Enterprise Support Services regarding AV media technology projects, support cost, and repair services.8. Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of emerging technologies in the information systems field. 9. Provide leadership for the development and continuous improvement of processes for the Department of Administration Support and AV media technology.10.
