Job Description:
Under direct supervision, position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and quality within the healthcare facility in support of Essentia Health standards. Cleans and services patient, public, clinical, and administrative areas, maintaining a well-groomed appearance. Includes other designated activities such as management of linens and inventory distribution, stocking, and collection. Contact with patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly, may occur while performing job responsibilities.
Lead Responsibilities: Assists supervisor in training, orientation of new employees in cleaning general areas, occupied rooms and dismissal clean. Helps monitor employee performance. Assists with coordinating various aspects of coverage to maintain quality and quantity of housekeeping services provided. Prepares daily assignment sheets and adjusts daily as needed. Oversees special projects as assigned by the supervisor/manager including renovation start up and clean up; patient rooms, floor and carpet care. Assists the supervisor by inspecting areas for cleanliness, reporting maintenance deficiencies, submitting work orders, correcting cleaning deficiencies and follow up with employees. Fills in for supervisor as needed. Helps to ensure a positive work place environment for all staff and encourages and recognizes the positive attributes of others.
Experience:
One (1) year prior experience in Environmental Services or related required.
Experience with floor care including carpet care, stipping and waxing floors preferred
Leadership experience preferred.
