Appointment Scheduling Specialist – Family Care

Fast-paced, high volume Dept Name department is looking for top skilled Appointment Scheduling Specialist. Is that you?

Work location: 3142 Horizon Rd. Suite 209, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work Environment: Family Care

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 2 years related experience in a Healthcare environment (preferred) but not required

  • Prior medical insurance experience (preferred)

A successful Appointment Scheduling Specialist will

  • Require strong customer skills

  • Have good oral and written communication skills

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process

  • Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies by the physician.

  • Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments.

  • Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data.

  • Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts, and performs other duties as assigned.
