This is a technical hands-on role that is focused on key security technologies used across all of Apple.

Description

Apple Information Security is looking for a developer with a strong computer science background to work on key applications and technologies used throughout Apple. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate seeking to learn, influence, and help develop key security applications, technologies, and processes that secure Apple products and services. - Ability to build strong internal and external contacts to optimally communicate secure solution designs and benefits to end-users - Persuasive and effective at interacting with all roles and levels of partner organizations - Results-driven with a world-class attention to detail and remarkable follow-through - Able to rapidly understand the other party’s concerns and evaluate a range of solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant programming experience with two or more of the following languages: Python, Typescript, Golang, Ruby, Elixir, and/or Java

  • Experience with one or more web frameworks such as: Django, Flask, Rails, Phoenix, ReactJS, and/or VueJS

  • Strong experience with coding techniques and standard methodologies for security, performance optimization, and ease-of-use

  • Experience with both consuming and crafting RESTful APIs

  • Experience with reading and writing SQL

  • Experience integrating with distributed big data processing frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop

  • Practical experience working with conducting experiments on datasets then turning prototypes into production application components

  • Comfort with macOS, Linux or other Unix-based operating systems

  • Strong test-driven approach to writing code

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Phenomenal Debugging skills

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,800 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
