In this role you’ll have independent technical ownership on new customer features and supporting architecture on a day to day and week to week basis. You’ll learn new in-demand skills like building voice control interfaces and scalable API platforms that will be highly valuable as you grow your career at Amazon and beyond. You’ll work directly with Product Management and Design to refine the customer experience for Alexa entertainment featured products. You’ll join a unique team in the Alexa organization with our own culture – we move fast to deliver new great features for customers and have a ton of fun doing it.

Key job responsibilities
As SDET you will be responsible for building highly scaled systems that ensure Alexa continues to delight customers world wide.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of quality infrastructure that encourages the optimal combination of unit/component/integration and end to end tests.
Design and development of platform verification kit.
Collaborate with software engineering teams, driving continuous development, integration and deployment
Working with Senior engineers to develop best practices for software quality assurance across multiple software teams
Mentor and exert technical influence over junior team members, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and expertise.

Report on status of development, quality, operations to management

About the team
Alexa Audio QA owns the full end-to-end experience the Alexa Audio platform delivers to customers.
Our charter is to continuously drive quality engineering and push the quality bar up across all Alexa Music teams. We do this by :
Providing test infrastructure to enable engineering teams to test and own quality of the services.
Acting as consultant to engineering team for service test coverage.
Being a stakeholder of the release to ensure defects are fixed per SLA and end customer experience are protected and improved.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
2+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical fie

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
