Provide personalized, contextual and empathizing systems and processes involving HR service needs (attendance, life events, etc.).
Sense the need and provide clear, concise, and decisive self-serve steps without having to wait.
Make solutions that can scale across 60+ countries, with varying levels of regulatory and compliance guidance.
Key job responsibilities
Invent, develop, integrate and migrate existing technologies to deliver a great Amazon experience.
Extend and customize the Amazon Platforms that meet our new customer's needs.
Identify problems and develop solutions on behalf of our customers (employees).
Seed the native AWS solutions that can power any enterprise.
Build solutions that touch each Amazon Employee, making their lives better during or outside of work.
Develop solutions that empower each Amazon employee to understand, elect, and enjoy benefits.
Develop tools that remove the frustrations of making benefits decisions.
Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative solutions.
Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor team members.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
