The Marcom Production Operations Department (MPO) is a technically oriented production service organization comprised of the following divisions: Technical Device Management, Media Operations, Video Accessibility and Special Operations. The MPO teams have a sense of pride in the work being produced, a shared sense of purpose as a group and are known for delivering the highest quality creative work. The ideal candidate is highly creative with strong technical skills, and has a consistent record of leading large teams and delivering on complex productions. Description
The Production Operations Director is a leadership role within our Production organization, responsible for overseeing the teams’ performance and work output. Responsibilities include: - Directly oversee and develop the performance and work output of the Technical Device Management, Media Operations, Video Accessibility and Special Operations teams. - Drive continuous innovation in processes, practices, tools and policies that help guide the MPO teams behavior in their day-to-day operations. - Develop and implement cost optimization strategies across the organization. - Cultivate relationships and collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business and key stakeholder objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to proactively identify potential issues that can affect our operations or ops strategy. - Develop and apply a deep understanding of Video Production and Post Production systems, equipment and workflows. - Drive strong partnerships with Creative and Production teams and build effective strategies that address the creative needs for a wide range of work across Marcom. - Empower clear and consistent communication, helping everyone stay informed without overwhelming the teams. - Act as a champion of the Apple brand standards and core values in all aspects of the work.
Minimum Qualifications
15 + years of direct production experience
5+ years of experience leading managers and senior individual contributors
Experience leading large scale, highly performing Production or Post-Production teams within a Production company, Post-Production company, creative agency, or in-house at a global brand organization.

Technical proficiency and working knowledge of leading edge Video production related technology, tools and platforms.
Familiarity with the software development process and able to lead a Special Operations team developing apps, scripts and automations to optimize the production process.
Exceptional leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence, build consensus, drive collaboration and alignment across a broad, cross-functional set of stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and expertise in modeling and forecasting operational needs.
Proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings in a fast-paced environment.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $255,400 and $408,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
