Meta Power Validation Engineer in Sunnyvale, California
Summary:
Meta's Hardware Product team is seeking a Power Validation Engineer specialized in consumer electronics power consumption characterization and optimization. We are looking for a self-starter and a team player who can thrive in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks are a must.
Required Skills:
Power Validation Engineer Responsibilities:
Collect power measurements for weekly SW builds and drive every mA of power out of the system cross-functionally
Root-cause and solve technical issues during new product development and in field escalations and power-regressions
Perform system level electrical characterization and PMIC validations
Engage with vendors on reviewing validation plans, analyzing test data and solving hardware issues
Responsible for the power consumption characterization and analysis of highly complex consumer electronic devices for various product use-cases.
Generate power characterization test plans, power data reporting and documentation, prototype bring-up and debugging
Characterize power consumption, battery runtime, battery charging/discharging curve at each build and identify optimization opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
2+ years of experience in consumer electronics power validations and hardware debugging
Experience with power test equipment, EE lab equipment, methodologies and have a hands-on approach when testing
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with power/thermal performance and cost optimizations, battery pack and cell technologies
Experience with python programming and automated test system design for hardware validations
Experience with low power management and PMIC design
Experience with DC/DC regulators, battery power management and lithium ion batteries
Public Compensation:
$111,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
