Key job responsibilities

Operations Program Specialist (OPS) will support the Operations Accessories team through the new product introduction (NPI) engineering phase process and sustaining. Working closely with the Operation Program Managers and Project managers, the OPS will be part of the core team that work with External Partners or CMs that will design and build our Accessories and Devices. The candidate is responsible for managing project documentation including, but not limited to, Bills of Materials (BOM) and generate all the engineering change orders in our PLM systems ( Agile/Townsend) . The OPS will also be involved in the coordination of different configuration matrices for evaluation BOMs, tooling parts and components management materials ready for engineering builds. In addition, the OPS will manage consolidation of the Bills of Materials; routing change orders to approvers and interface with external teams to coordinate costed BOMs, allocation samples and XVTs budgets. This individual will work with internal teams and external contract manufacturers for the coordination of material availability.

A day in the life

The Operations Project Specialist (OPS) will work closely with the Technical Program Managers (TPMs), Operations Program Managers (OPMs), Engineering Project Specialists (EPSs), Retail Engineering Program Manager (EPM), PPS (Packaging Program Managers) and the Core Engineering teams during the New Product Introduction process for Core Accessories programs. The OPS manages consolidation of all project documentation including, but not limited to, (BOM) Bills of Materials and controlling the engineering change orders at the Assy and Sellable skus (final packaging stage) in our PLM Systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Product line Management systems like Agile

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
