Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. As a member of the Retail Device Management team, you will work to handle, secure and support all Apple Retail devices worldwide. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our tools focused on MDM for MacOS and iOS platforms as well as related applications and infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on Mobile Device Management (MDM), front-end, back-end, and accessibility testing.

Description

The Retail Device Management team is looking for a skilled QA tester to help ensure the functionality and quality of the products and services we deliver to retail store end users. This role requires e a strong understanding of testing methodologies which they will apply to MDM protocols, as well as iOS and web applications. You will help to uphold Apple’s quality standards, as well as look for new ways to continue to improve testing methodology and efficacy. We are looking for a candidate who is determined, can constantly research and suggest the latest technologies, independently tackle technical issues, and work with teams of developers, engineering project managers, and end users. As a member of the team, you will lead by example and believe that teams and not individuals accomplish extraordinary things! RESPONSIBILITIES: - MDM Testing: Execute comprehensive MDM tests on various mobile platforms, including iOS and macOS, using industry-leading MDM solutions. Apply MDM capabilities to manage device enrollment, configuration, and app distribution. - Front-End Testing: Design, develop, and implement automated and manual front-end tests on web and mobile applications. Ensure a flawless user experience, phonetically and functionally, across different browsers and devices. Implement usability and user acceptance testing (UAT) methodologies. - Back-End Testing: Collaborate closely with developers to test the back-end systems. Perform API testing, database queries, stress testing, and scalability testing to identify and resolve performance issues. - Accessibility Testing: Conduct detailed accessibility audits of our applications to ensure compliance with web accessibility guidelines. Implement remediation strategies to improve accessibility for users. - Reporting and Communication: Document testing results, defects, and issues in a clear and concise manner. Apply Jira or similar project management tool to track testing progress and collaborate with multi-functional teams. Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial for conveying technical information to stakeholders. - Stay Up-to-Date: Keep up with the latest trends and technologies in mobile applications, MDM, front-end, back-end, and accessibility testing. Participate in training and workshops to improve skills and stay informed about industry standard processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience as a QA Tester with a focus on MDM, front-end, back-end or accessibility testing.

  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) concepts and solutions.

  • Experience in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of back-end technologies, such as server-side programming, databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), and APIs.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Apple Retail experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $56.65 and $85.52/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
