Google Manager, Trust and Safety, Google Cloud in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in Operations, Program Management, or Management Consulting.

  • 3 years of people management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master degree in Business, Operations Research, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience leading medium-large size teams to deliver huge impact with high motivation and efficiency.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects across organizational boundaries.

  • Experience with Machine Learning. Passion for innovation and technology

  • Understanding of the internet ecosystem especially the space of online abuse, fraud and security.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence executives and technical partners.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The Trust and Safety Cloud team's mission is to protect the world from abuse coming from Google Cloud.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

  • Lead the OAuth Abuse team to set vision, drive strategic initiatives in the areas of third party apps compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Coach and mentor individual contributor teams to deliver exceptional business results.

  • Lead multiple strategic initiatives for Trust and Safety Google Cloud leveraging operations research concepts, process automation, and machine learning.

  • Work collaboratively and cross functionally (e.g., Operations, Policy, Product, Sales, Support, Engineering, etc.) to ensure coordination and alignment on strategy, objectives, and key results with senior stakeholders.

  • Measure impact and establish metrics for programs which, by their nature, often focus on harder-to-measure intangibles. Use data to make informed decisions on subsequent actions.
