Experienced AppleCare Last Time Buy (LTB) Planner responsible for the long-term forecasting and planning of components and service parts. Manage the LTB planning function within the demand planning organization to ensure that the service parts are available in the right quantity for Apple customers. Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and materials planning teams to build the consensus on the LTB proposal. A successful candidate needs to be a results-driven individual with strong analytical capabilities, eye for business, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with partner teams to resolve supply chain issues.

Description

The essential duties of this position include: Generate an accurate long-term forecast for service parts and components Develop LTB strategy and recommendations that are aligned with AppleCare service strategy Perform detailed demand and inventory analysis to explain the key drivers of the excess inventory, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams See opportunities to reduce LTB spend using cost benefit analysis Lead LTB review meetings on a regular basis with senior leadership Perform repair yield and component failure analysis by using historical data and trends Monitor actual consumption against the forecast, and call out excess or shortage issues to the leadership Conceptualize and implement systems solutions to automate, standardize, and improve overall planning process Operate within the complex business environment requiring an ability to deal with multiple internal and external business groups

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education - BA/BS degree plus 4 years

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in Excel data manipulation and model development

  • Experience in operations planning

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience in building Tableau reports, good understanding of Database fundamentals/SQL skills

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education - MA/MS/MBA plus 2 years of experience

  • Experience in operations planning in same or similar industry, and understanding of reverse supply chain planning concepts in a service organization

  • Experience with the long-term demand planning and scenario-based planning

  • Standout colleague who can collaborate, and build positive relationships across functional/regional teams in a matrix organization

  • Detailed & Execution oriented. Ability to innovate down to the details

  • Must have strong eye for business and the ability to use good judgment in ambiguous situations

  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience interacting at the Director/VP level

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,500 and $205,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
