Google Director, Product Management, BigQuery in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of experience in product management leadership providing product vision and roadmaps.

  • Experience building and scaling enterprise data analytics products, vision, roadmap development, positioning, industry needs, and field enablement.

  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure software including data market segments, and experience with AI and GenAI and how it's being applied in an enterprise context (e.g. Data Analytics).

  • Experience working with and driving change across cross-functional partners.

  • Experience in streaming analytics technology and its application, and in building and delivering products in Data Analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in strategic thought leadership, with the ability to drive business excellence and operational/product efficiency while simplifying existing go-to-market models.

  • Experience leading in a highly matrixed organization in a global capacity, balancing local nuances with global scalability.

  • Experience driving thought leadership with industry analysts and press, including experience working with Gartner.

  • Deep exposure to enterprise data and analytics market segments, with additional expertise in application development, analytics, and AI/ML.

As the Director of Product Management for Data & Analytics, you'll lead the fast growing analytics business of our flagship data platform BigQuery. You will drive customer-centric product vision and definition, building thought leadership in this market segment, and driving execution with our engineering teams for BigQuery. You'll help drive our data and analytics strategy in alignment with GCPs overall vision of building an AI ready data platform centered around Google BigQuery, and build innovative solutions for AI-driven Data Analytics, multi-model data processing, deep integrations with Vertex AI and Looker, and many more. You will own significant analytics product portfolio features and enhancements based on market and business goals. This includes partnering with our GTM team to create an innovative product go-to-market strategy for these services. You will also partner closely with our engineering teams and other GCP product areas to ensure seamless product development. You will execute across numerous proprietary and open source technologies to solve problems for our customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop a strategic vision and collaborate with customers, partners, the field, and engineering to offer a coherent roadmap for our internal and external customers.

  • Work across product, engineering, and services teams to define, build, and support Data Analytics products that span across a portfolio of product offerings. Drive decisions around prioritization, solutions, functionality and pricing.

  • Influence and establish best product management practices through solid design decisions, processes and tools.

  • Build and drive a thought leadership narrative with customers and industry thought leaders around data analytics and how it fits into the greater data narrative.

  • Define Data & Analytics product go-to-market strategies, identify key market/competitive trends and customer opportunities, plan and manage programs to execute against those strategies by partnering with sales leadership at a regional and global level.
