Operational Excellence Manager

We are now looking for a Operational Excellence Manager, Group R&D at Permobil. You will belong to a team consisting of experts in value engineering and product data and will report to Manager Operational Excellence & Value Engineering. This team supports R&D in continuous improvement activities. As a team we also lead and facilitate Value Engineering initiatives, challenging the organization to increase the value of a product by increasing functionality and/or reducing costs without compromising on quality. Location is Sundsvall, Sweden.

As Operational Excellence Manager at Permobil you will support and drive change in ways of working within the global R&D organization, as well as working with change management and also as project leader to enhance our ways of working with lessons learned, best practice and continuous improvement. Communication and networking skills are very important to succeed in this role.

This position includes working with many different parts of the R&D organization, as well as other departments within Permobil. It will also involve travelling to our different sites. You are also expected to contribute to developing R&D sustainability way of working as well as continuous improvement of internal processes in the Operational Excellence & Value Engineering team. This is a small team and dynamic team so you will have great opportunities to influence and develop the role.

To be a successful Operational Excellence Manager in our team you are structured, have a strong drive and focus on results. You understand the relevance of communicating both within your team as well as with other departments and different stakeholders. It is also essential that you are a good listener to understand what the organization needs and can transform this into tangible actions and suggest ways forward.

As facilitating workshops will be a part of what you do, we would like you to have excellent communication skills and be comfortable presenting to a large audience.

Your Background

• We believe that you hold an BSc or MSc in Engineering or equivalent, and/or at least 5 years of working with change management preferably in an international environment.

• Experience of working in product development is important as well as experience from Lean and/or Agile ways of working.

• You are technically minded and speak fluent English. You also have good writing skills in English. Experience from Medical Device development is considered a merit.

This role is based on-site at Permobil's brand new cutting-edge innovation center in Birsta, Sundsvall, at the state-of-the-art facility, which unites research, manufacturing, and sustainable practices under one roof.
