Position Overview

As anIT Service Specialist EMEA, you will deliver 2nd-level support for Permobil-specific applications and IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations and prompt issue resolution. Collaborating with IT Operations, you will manage alerts and respond to urgent production-related incidents. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvements in IT services and processes, contributing to a reliable and streamlined IT environment.

This role is based on-site at Permobil's brand new cutting-edge innovation center in Birsta, Sundsvall, at the state-of-the-art facility, which unites research, manufacturing, and sustainable practices under one roof. Our commitment is to cultivate an inclusive environment that enhances accessibility, participation, and the development of world-class mobility solutions for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • 2nd-Level Support for Applications:

  • Provide support for Permobil-specific applications, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

  • Collaborate with application owners to ensure timely resolution of complex problems.

  • Alert Management and Infrastructure Monitoring:

  • Monitor IT infrastructure for alerts and act on them in collaboration with the IT Operations teams.

  • Ensure proactive incident response to minimize disruption to services.

  • Automation, Documentation, and Process Optimization:

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve service delivery and reduce manual work.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Optimize ITSM platform usage, focusing on usability and process efficiency.

  • Use data-driven insights and feedback (e.g., surveys) to inform continuous improvements in IT services.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to align on operational goals and deliverables.

  • Provide clear and timely communication during incidents, changes, and updates.

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher vocational education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in 2nd-level IT support, including both application and infrastructure support.

  • Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure monitoring and managing alerts

  • Proficiency in improving ITSM processes and including configuration and optimization

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving application and infrastructure issues

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish

  • Strong multitasking abilities and capability to work effectively under pressure

  • ITIL Foundation certification and other relevant technical certifications are meritorious

  • Proven ability to drive automation and optimize processes is highly desirable
