Job Type: Full-time with overtime
Experience: 1 year preferred (Will train)
Reports to: Foreman, no supervisory responsibility
Wage: $28-$33 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:
The semi-truck heavy haul driver will be responsible for hauling concrete, paving and crushing equipment, and miscellaneous support equipment to and from job sites. Experience hauling oversized loads, dozers, scrapers, and rock-crushing equipment. This person should be comfortable loading and unloading heavy equipment on and off trailers and be current with oversized loads and restrictions that come with hauling oversized equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:
Haul concrete, paving, crushing, and support equipment.
Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as needed.
Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with equipment repairs as needed.
Work with operators to up and tear down job sites when moving to and from locations (as needed).
Record any maintenance issues in the truck logbook and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.
Properly secure loads to meet laws and safety regulations.
Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train.
Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.
Position Requirements:
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
Class A CDL and current Medical DOT card.
Clean DMV record.
Basic maintenance skills.
Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.
Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.
A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
