Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join a team in the Sunapee, New Hampshire area. The role is centered around the management of accounting functions and software systems, with a specific focus on grants and budgeting. This short term contract role offers the opportunity to showcase your skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Manage and supervise the accounting department functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Use Accounting Software Systems and Great Plains (GPAC) to maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers, prepare and analyze budgets, and perform general bookkeeping.
• Manage grants, including fund accounting, budgeting, and preparing financial reports.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and prepare audit reports.
• Manage the billing functions and accounts receivable.
• Oversee grant administration and grant management.
• Ensure all financial operations are in compliance with statutory requirements.
Requirements
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experienced in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in performing Auditing tasks
• Capable of handling Billing Functions
• Experience in Grant Accounting, Grant Administration, and Grant Management
• Ability to manage and direct all finance and accounting functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation
