Carlisle Interconnect Technologies Industrial Maintenance Technician in Summit, Washington

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Insulfoam plant in Puyallup, WA. The Maintenance Technician will Maintain and repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility. 3rd Shift Sunday through Thursday with Friday and Saturday off. Shift is 9:30pm to 6:00am * Starting from: $34.66 + $1.00 Shift Differential, based on experience. * $3000 sign on bonus paid after 90 days of employment. Duties and Responsibilities: * Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. * Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems * Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair * Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures. * Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications * Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists. * Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information. * Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance * Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations. * Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies. * Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas. * Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment * Other duties as assigned Working Conditions This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked. Note to Washington State applicants: Per the state's Wage Transparency Act, the range for this position is $34.66-$38.50. Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets. * Education - High School diploma or GED required * One to two (1-2) years related industrial maintenance experience * Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler * Mechanical background with rotating equipment. Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. * Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures * Knowledge of various hand and power tools * Prior experience operating a forklift * Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information * Effective communication and problem-solving skills * Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills * Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling constantly up to 50 pounds. In addition this position requires the following abilities: Standing, Walking, Lifting, Reaching above shoulders, Bending and Twisting.
