Akima Master Electrician (Onsite in Okinawa, Japan) in Ginowan City, Japan
The Master Electrician is responsible for installing and configuring IT power and electrical equipment for a temporary overseas assignment in Japan. This position requires a licensed Master Electrician with hands-on experience in electrical installations, particularly in IT environments. The role will involve less than one month of work performance overseas, with travel required 100% of the time to Japan for the first 3 weeks of December. An active SECRET clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain IT power systems and electrical equipment in compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in a high-tech environment, ensuring adherence to local and international electrical codes.
Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure proper configuration and operation of electrical and IT systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to system operations.
Ensure all work is completed on time, within scope, and adheres to safety and quality standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to electrical configurations and installations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications: Must have a valid and current Master Electrician’s license.
10 or more years' experience with installing and configuring IT power systems and electrical equipment is required.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety procedures, and compliance standards.
Ability to work overseas in Japan for less than one month.
Active SECRET clearance preferred but not required.
