Project Manager - Legal

Suffern, New York

We are actively seeking a highly dedicated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our legal team at iPostal1, a technology company specializing in digital mailbox technology. In this role, you will be a pivotal member of our legal team, focusing on ensuring legal compliance, data protection, privacy law, contract review and fraud prevention. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our system while also safeguarding customer privacy and contractual compliance.

Responsibilities:

Legal Compliance and Privacy Protection:

Serve as a primary liaison between the legal team and customer support, offering expert guidance on legal matters, data protection, and privacy compliance.

Ensure that all company operations adhere to applicable privacy laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and other regional data protection laws.

Collaborate closely with the legal team to review and analyze lease contracts, ensuring they align with legal requirements and company policies.

Stay updated on evolving privacy laws and regulations, adapting company practices as necessary to maintain compliance.

Fraud Prevention and KYC Compliance:

Actively monitor and identify potential fraudulent activities within our digital mailbox system, leveraging your legal expertise to assess risks.

Conduct comprehensive investigations and analyses of reported incidents, identifying patterns or trends associated with fraudulent activities.

Collaborate with the customer support team to receive and document leads related to fraud prevention, ensuring accurate record-keeping and legal compliance.

Provide necessary information and support for legal proceedings related to fraud prevention, as required.

Contract Review and Compliance:

Review lease contracts with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring they align with legal guidelines and company policies.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and identify any potential risks or issues.

Offer legal expertise and recommendations to address contract-related matters.

Communication and Collaboration:

Maintain open lines of communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Collaborate effectively with the legal team, customer support, and other departments to achieve legal compliance and fraud prevention goals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, with a strong legal background and understanding of data protection and privacy laws.

Paralegal preferred.

Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns and assess risks related to fraud prevention and privacy compliance.

Proven experience in contract review and analysis, with a keen eye for legal details.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with various teams and external partners.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.

Knowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance practices and their application in a technology-focused environment is a plus.
