TEKsystems Construction Laborer in Suffern, New York
Description:
Construction laborers have many responsibilities, including:
Preparing construction sites
Construction laborers often prepare sites by removing debris, digging trenches, and compacting earth.
Moving materials
Construction laborers load and unload building materials, and position them according to instructions.
Operating machinery
Construction laborers use hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, saws, drills, nail guns, and cement mixers.
Building and taking apart structures
Construction laborers build or take apart scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures.
Assisting other tradesworkers
Construction laborers assist other tradesworkers, such as electricians, plumbers, and carpenters.
Cleaning
Construction laborers clean construction sites at the end of each workday.
Following directions
Construction laborers must be able to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must be able to work off hour shifts and sometimes overtime
