WHAT YOU'LL DO
A Mechanic II maintains, repairs, and services manufacturing and facility systems.
Perform skilled maintenance and repair services of manufacturing and facility systems such as mechanical and building systems
Interpret blueprints and schematics
Implement methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities to identify and address recurring problems with machinery, equipment or parts
Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair
Adhere to current sanitation and GMP requirements
Maintain current status on all required training
SHIFT
This position will work on 2nd shift with regular hours of 3:30pm until 12:00am.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic
Understanding of mechanical system and mechanical and spatial aptitude
Good mathematical and writing skills
Ability to troubleshoot and determine the cause of improper machine operation, and make necessary adjustments and repairs to return to proper operation
Attention to detail and follow-up
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Diploma
2+ years' experience as an industrial or commercial Mechanic
Two-year mechanical technical degree or equivalent experience
Welding Certification from area college or trade school
Predictive Maintenance experience/training
Seamer Certification via formal Angelus or Pneumatic Scale Seamer School (or equivalent) and demonstrated seamer proficiency
Backflow Prevention Certification by Michigan Mechanics and Plumbers and Construction Association

The base pay for this position is $20.60 – $41.20 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
