JOB REQUIREMENTS: 360X Staffing is hiring for Structural production welders in a Shipyard environment. Ideal background is having industrial facility or shop experience. Position openings for structural welders with fabrication and/or shipyard experience willing to travel and that can pass a weld test. This position is responsible for welding equipment, parts, interiors and exteriors of ships, and shipyard buildings at our vast, 63-acre facility. DOD Test .052 FCAW on 3/8\" plate. 2G, 3G, 4G with backing strip Commercial / Repair weld test .052 Fluxcore on 3/4\" steel 2G and 3G with no backing strip Plates are ground, coupons cut and bent same day. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
