SOFTWARE ENGINEER PRINCIPAL
The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer Principal in Strongsville, OH, with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems for up to three days per week, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Participate in all aspects of PNC's Retail Banking's Systems Engineering Group activities. Specific duties include: (i) lead the technical design and development of software solutions; (ii) architect a process flow of new requirements; (iii) analyze source systems and map to current business processes; (iv) define and develop complex tasks and workflows; (v) create business and technical designs for assigned processes, tasks and workflows; (vi) create requirement definition and technical specifications; (vii) develop solutions from technical specifications and perform unit testing of the modules, and deploy it into Non-Production and Production environments; (viii) provide technical oversight to team members and guide the team in solving technical issues; and (ix) plan, coordinate and work on data system integrations tasks including conversions, migrations, upgradations, consolidations, and replications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or Electronics Engineering plus 5 years of experience developing and implementing Financial Business Intelligence Data Mart solutions using software tools including ETL Informatica tools, Data Modeling tools, Database Technologies, mainframes, and Unix in or for the financial services industry is required. Must have experience with: (i) performing analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements and translating into system requirement specifications; (ii) architecting and designing solutions to store consumer and business banking data including Leads, Referrals, Financial Accounts, Trust Management, and Private Clients; (iii) developing software solutions, including multiple integrations and business rules / business requirements in support of business; (iv) leading teams and projects through development and delivery of software development solutions; (v) working with development teams to review requirements, creating technical solution designs, performing code reviews, and supporting team through testing and resolution of associated software defects; (vi) implementing full project lifecycle software development including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, support and enhancement; (vii) planning and participating in production deployment support, technical validation and issue resolution; (viii) developing database SQL queries to perform data analysis, tuning and quality; (ix) proof of concept/process improvement development activities involving business assessment, feature analysis and development; and (x) coaching and mentoring domestic and international project development teams.
