Role Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst, Sales Operations, will play a critical role in supporting the sales organization by leveraging data and analytics to actionable drive decision-making and operational efficiency. This position will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting through sales analytics, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting the alignment of sales and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in data management, and the ability to communicate complex findings to various stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
Sales Analytics and Reporting:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance sales performance dashboards and reports to provide insights into sales trends, forecast accuracy, and sales pipeline health.
- Utilize data visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce) to effectively communicate findings and trends to sales leaders and other stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Ensure the accuracy and quality control of all reports and automate report processing to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
Forecasting and Planning:
- Collaborate with sales leadership to improve forecast accuracy through data-driven insights and regular retrospectives on past forecasts.
- Support quota setting and sales goal allocation by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and potential growth areas.
- Partner with sales operations and finance to align sales plans with overall company strategy and financial objectives.
Assist in modeling optimal territory designs and realignments to support the sales growth strategy and optimize sales force deployment.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Assist in pipeline management and provide analysis to ensure effective tracking of deals through the sales cycle.
- Work closely with sales leadership to identify and implement process improvements that drive sales productivity.
Develop and refine territory planning and design strategies to optimize sales force deployment and customer coverage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Master Planner to review customer forecasts, add upsides and risks, and finalize forecasts.
Serve as a liaison between the sales, finance, and product teams to ensure data integrity and alignment of strategies.
Manage safety stock entries, review excess inventory, and coordinate necessary adjustments with relevant stakeholders.
