The Technology House, LTD Maintenance Technician Supervisor in Streetsboro, Ohio

[GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION]{.underline}

As the Maintenance Technician Supervisor for The Technology House/Sea Air Space you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure building, grounds, and machines by: creating a machine maintenance schedule, maintaining building operating systems (e.g., alarm, AC, heat, lights, etc.), maintain building grounds and walkways, as well as performing other essential duties assigned on an as-needed basis. This role will eventually delegate the work of facility custodial personnel. 

 

[RESPONSIBILITIES]{.underline}

Building:

  • Ensure alarm, A/C, heat, plumbing, electrical, etc. are all in working order.
  • Maintain grounds, lawn, driveways, parking lots, dock doors, and walkways.
  • Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces.
  • Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
  • Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
  • Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
  • Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.

     

Machines:

  • Ensure machines are on a proper maintenance schedule.
  • Communicate products that need to be purchased for machines.
  • Able to perform basic maintenance fixes on machines (prefer experience with CNC Lathe, Mills & additive equipment), or work with third party on more advanced repairs.
  • Ensure proper documentation is current for each machine.

     

General Duties:

  • Work with management to secure and negotiate repair contracts.
  • Conduct and document regular building inspections.
  • Oversee work done by outside vendors and contractors.
  • Communicate safety procedures and matters to employees.
  • Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

     

[QUALIFICATIONS]{.underline}

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Advanced technical training preferred.
  • 1+ years' experience required; 3+ years' experience preferred.
  • Sound computer literacy skills.
  • Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other building systems.
  • Must have training or experience dealing with maintenance of machines/equipment. Ideally with maintenance fixes on CNC Lathe, Mills & additive equipment, but willing to train someone with strong machine maintenance background.
  • Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.
  • Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail, quality control, and efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
