Vontier Customer Service Representative - Noon-8:30 PM (No Weekends) in Stow, Ohio

Competitive Earning Potential: $18.50/Hour + $300 Hiring Bonus + Annual Company Bonus/Gainshare

Noon-8:30P ET Weekdays Only

This position will work on a hybrid schedule: Tuesdays through Thursdays at our headquarters in Stow, OH, and Mondays and Fridays from home.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Guiding Tool Selection: Assist our franchised distributor customers in choosing the right automotive tools and toolboxes. Your expertise will empower them to make informed decisions.

  • Inbound Calls: Be the friendly voice on the other end of the line. Handle inquiries, provide pricing details, share part numbers, troubleshoot issues, and offer basic credits.

  • Technical Support: Become the product encyclopedia! You’ll provide information and specifications from our Matco Tools catalog and those of our trusted suppliers.

  • Order Management: Efficiently input orders using our internal software systems. Accuracy and attention to detail are your superpowers.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Service team. Together, you’ll tackle open questions, resolve challenges, and ensure seamless communication.

  • Cross-Functional Problem-Solving: Engage with subject matter experts across departments. Your ability to bridge gaps and find solutions will be invaluable.

  • Other Adventures: As part of our dynamic team, you’ll take on additional responsibilities as needed. Adaptability is key!

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Availability: Flexibility to work from Noon to 8:30 PM ET, Monday to Friday.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of call center experience or equivalent experience in dealing with customers.

  • Automotive Knowledge: On-the-job experience working with general automotive mechanics is a plus.

  • Bonus Points: ASE certification, automotive experience, tool familiarity, or a related trade school degree.

  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written skills. Problem-Solving: Interpret customer issues, troubleshoot, and translate them into resolutions while maintaining a positive attitude. Multitasking Ninja: Thrive in a fast-paced office environment. Phone Etiquette: Answering calls is a primary function of the position.
