Expeditors Employee Relations Manager - Nordics in Stockholm, Sweden

THIS POSITION MAYBE BASED IN ANY OF OUR NORDIC BRANCHES

This strategic position will be responsible for the implementation and application of the Employee Relations function within our Nordic Branches. The Employee Relations Manager is a trusted adviser and critical partner to coach employees and leaders on various employee relation matters related, but not limited to, conflict resolution and performance deficiencies. Proactively review all policy and procedures in line with current legislation. As a subject matter expert, you will identify risks and gaps, create, audit, and sustain positive workplace relations programs; and design and conduct positive workplace relations training that drives best practices. The Employee Relations Manager will be comfortable both presenting to senior leaders and communicating with frontline employees. Advise and foster a competitive compensation & benefits environment for our teams. Drive initiatives, which promote employee engagement and career development for all employees.

Strategic ER Management:

•        Identify and drive philosophies and programs to foster constructive employee relations and ensure the organizations approach is fair, respectful and consistent 

•    Work collaboratively with and provide day-to-day coaching and advice to managers and associates in a wide variety of employee relations issues, performing management, and policy interpretation. 

•    Provide support, advice and coaching when approached by staff or managers on employee relations topics.

•    Stay current on employment law and trends.

•    Track and interpret tends in employee relations to proactively identify issues and develop training and other interventions and solutions.

•    Responsible for the execution of HR strategies and programs that support the business

•    Manage & Promote the Annual Employee Survey by gather, analyze and interpret the data to develop recommendations and strategies to facilitate positive employee relations and engagement 

•    Collaborate with key teams across the network and Employee Experience function and share best practices

•    Manage the recruitment process 

•    Advise and provide guidance on disciplinary procedures 

•    Advise and support the senior management teams on ER matters

•    Maintain procedures to ensure confidentiality of personnel data in line with current GDPR and country legislations 

•    Drive the Employee Engagement and working with managers and employees to build a positive and engaging work culture

•    Lead HR projects and initiatives that support business strategies

•    Promote the Company’s Culture and policies 

•    Undertake management development activities by coaching, influencing and sharing knowledge to increase manager’s abilities to manage their teams.

•    Support the delivery of training and career development programs

•    Proactively communicate with the management team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations. 

•    Maintain a positive relationship with the District Managers, Health & Safety and fellow ER Managers within the network.

Knowledge:

•    5-7 Years Experience within the ER Function

•    Previous Recruitment Process Manager Experience

•    Excellent Communication, Organisational & Negotiation Skills 

•    Strong Legal Legislation knowledge within the Nordic Countries

Skill:

•    Strong written and verbal communications skills

•    Experience in dealing with conflict resolution

•    Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment

•    Ability to develop effective relationships

•    Proven Coaching and Influencing skills.

•    Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word etc.).
