Will be responsible for oversight and fiscal management of the operations of the Special Education Resolution Center. The Assistant Director will ensure the recruitment, training, and evaluation of all hearing and appeal officers, as well as mediators. Will closely collaborate with OSDE-SES on all contractual activities/deliverables. Will review program data on the hearing and alternative dispute resolution processes. Will provide support to hearing/appeal officer and mediators. Will ensure maintenance of a resource library and website. Will conduct research on legal and special educational issues. Will ensure the collection, maintenance and reporting to SDE as required, all identified data relating to the Due Process Hearing System and alternative dispute resolution. Will ensure receipt, verification, and transmission of all related invoices in a timely manner. Will ensure provision of stakeholder training that builds capacity at the local level to engage effectively in conflict. Will fulfill any other requirements of a current contract with the Oklahoma State Department of Education not listed.
