In 2015, we moved into a brand new facility thats double the size of the last building and is climate controlled. NRL is expanding at a rapid speed and shows little sign of slowing down. Now all we need is an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team! Overview of the position
Programmers are responsible for creating programs on the computer that go into machines to run parts efficiently and effectively.
Benefits and Compensation:
- $25 - 40.00+ an hour. Starting wage depends on experience and education.
- Three health insurance options are available, as well as dental, vision, short-term disability, life, accident and other ancillary benefits available after 60 days full-time.
- Long-term disability and a $75,000 life insurance policy given to all full-time employees at no cost to them after 60 days.
- $400 HRA deductible credit given towards anyone who enrolls in a health insurance plan.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) is an accrual based program for all employees. A range of 40 - 128 hours will be annually accrued depending on length of service. PTO will be used for any reason work is missed, but it is not a use it or lose it policy. All PTO will carry over into the new year.
- 401(k) plan with match is available after six months of employment. Pre- and post-tax contribution options, and many funding options are available.
- Overtime is typically available, but never guaranteed.
Primary duties of the position
- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates
- Develop programs on Mastercam for CNC machining centers
- Write instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machines
- Revise programs to eliminate instruction errors or omissions
- Observe operation of machines on trial runs to prove programmed instructions
- Be familiar with the operation and mechanics of CNC mills

The basic qualifications for the position are
- Must have understanding of basic math
- Must be alert, careful, accurate and show judgment
- Must have mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
- Must have ability to understand and interpret customer blueprints
- Must have the ability to understand machine technology and terminology
- Must have communication and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze complex and diverse information, translate concepts and information into images, identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions
- Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Must be proficient with Mastercam
- Experience with SolidWorks, is a plus
Education and experience requirements
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a programming role that provides an understanding of the manufacturing environment and equipment, and how to set program using Mas ercam
