Ahern has an exciting opportunity for a HVAC Service Pre-Apprentice located in Stevens Point, WI. You owe it to yourself to find out what Ahern has to offer! As a Pre-Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced HVAC Journeymen to gain hands-on trade knowledge. You will assist with servicing HVAC equipment including; filter and belt replacements and coil cleaning. You will also assist with the advancement of preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC systems. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collectivebargaining agreement. This position is an entry-level union position that provides an excellent pathway to a 5-year apprenticeship, where you will be trained to become an HVAC Journeyman. Pre-Apprentice applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles, and pass an appropriate aptitude test and drug screen. Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working in a shop, construction, or factory-type role. This job entails a great deal of physical labor, including lifting and climbing.
