JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 20643 JOB TITLE: Costumer Service Supervisor Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus, DeBot Dining Center Supervisor: Marty Kalepp, Associate Director of Dining FTE: 100% Position Summary The DeBot Manager is responsible for the overall leadership/management, and financial operations of both the Upper DeBot Residential Dining Center and the Lower DeBot Marketplace within University Dining. This position is directly responsible for overseeing the daily food service operations including staff management and/or customer issue resolution to ensure exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus guests. This individual identifies work unit needs, prioritizes tasks and duties, and contributes to the development of unit processes and procedures. monitoring inventory levels, and placing inventory replenishment orders, while also processing work orders for the maintenance of the entire building. This position is responsible for supervising all employees within both units within DeBot Center (Upper DeBot Residential Dining Center, and Lower DeBot Marketplace) with an emphasis on a strong student employment program that utilizes student managers and encourages diversity in the employment program. The DeBot Manager will work cooperatively with the Executive Chef, other culinary team members, and the Food Safety Manager/Registered Dietitian for menu and culinary preparation and regarding students dietary needs. The DeBot Manager supervises and directs the work tasks of the DeBot Customer Service Supervisor to achieve unit and departmental goals. This position must be able and willing to work a variable schedule and serves as a member of the University Dining Leadership Team. Shift: Varied schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays. At least 3 years\' of past experience supervising a diverse staff including full time, part time, student, and temporary staff. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to a wide array of people including customers and staff members with differing skills/abilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Ability to meet State of Wisconsin requirements to drive state vehicles Knowledge of equipment and supplies utilized in a major food service operation. Serv Safe certification, required within 3 months of hire. Prior experience with cash handling techniques. Knowledge of multi-shift staffing needs and ability to properly staff the operation, including modifications for emergencies. Successful applicants must pass all UWSP mandatory trainings along with depar mental specific trainings as part of their employment onboarding. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of computer technologies used in food service management, including automated inventory and menu management systems such as CBORD. Knowledge of high quality as well as quantity food preparation and service in a large-scale operations. Previous experience in University Food Service.
