JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21011 JOB TITLE: Business Analyst II (IT013) FTE 100% PRINCIPAL WORK LOCATION: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus SUPERVISOR: John Gaffney, University Registrar POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Analyst II in the Office of the Registrar at UW-Stevens Point supports the office by providing technical support for PeopleSoft Student Information System and third-party software; assisting with business process improvement and project management; and supporting data reporting through query writing and data analysis. Reporting to the university registrar, this position works closely with other Office of the Registrar staff and Administrative Information Systems staff members to provide high quality information technology services for students, faculty, and staff. The Business Analyst II position assists in the acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware products in the Office of the Registrar. The position participates in the analysis and evaluation of business processes in the Office of the Registrar and works directly with office staff and with the university community to develop or resolve application design needs. The Business Analyst II will utilize their experience in data analysis, process improvement, and project management to contribute to the overall success of the office. This position is responsible for interpreting and following institutional, UW System, state, and federal policies, guidelines, regulations, and standards in the performance of duties. The position works independently to gather information, make decisions, resolve conflicts, solve problems, and implement institutional policies and standards. The person in this position will work with complex systems and mission critical projects, creating a high consequence of error. Proficient in confidential data management, report generation, and data analysis. Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills. Capable of working autonomously while also thriving in collaborative team environments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Basic understanding of SQL. Proficient in software/system configuration. Demonstrated proficiency with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions. Experienced creating and analyzing business processes. Demonstrated experience writing business process documentation.
