Summary
Our team in Stevenage is very pleased and happy to be able to add to their current team for a Quality Inspector. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for many objectives in your role, such as: Operate under general direction, monitor, test, and inspect products to ensure they meet specified standards, are free of flaws, and function as designed.
Responsibilities
Monitor, test, and inspect products to ensure they meet specified standards, are free of flaws, and function as designed. May work in laboratory settings running tests and duplicating real-world conditions, using tools such as micrometers, callipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and electronic inspection equipment to aid in quality inspections and assessments.
Program and run the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) machines (Laser Tracker).
Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA)activities such as A3 and 8D’s.
Create and Complete paperwork such as Process Maps, PPAP, Control Plans and FMEAs.
Qualifications
Three years or more of relevant experience is required depending on the complexity level of the job.
Experience within Quality Inspection is a must, with the added benefit of Engineering.
Knowledge of quality engineering processes and regulatory requirements is essential.
Able to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.
Customer orientated.
Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems.
Able to interpret internal/external business challenges and make recommendations for improvements to products, processes, or services.
Confident when explaining a range of complex technical information.
Capable to gather data, compile information, and preparing reports.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and database management tools.
