Collins Aerospace is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Mission Systems team in Sterling, VA. As a key liaison, you'll interface between our dynamic material and supply organization and technical experts, ensuring seamless operations and advising on strategic processes. With a focus on reviewing and optimizing a diverse range of materials and services, evaluating bids, and selecting top-tier suppliers to achieve program goals, your role will directly impact our mission-critical objectives. What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the material and supply organization, interfacing with technical personnel to advise on internal processes and operations.

  • Review a diverse range of materials, supplies, and services in high volume to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Evaluate bids, selects, and recommends suppliers or components to meet program objectives, ensuring follow-up until order completion.

  • Develop solutions to complex problems, leveraging established precedents and policies, influencing organizational objectives and goals.

  • Network with senior internal and external stakeholders in the field, demonstrating strong judgment in problem-solving methodologies.

  • Participate in setting objectives for assignments and plans schedules independently to achieve goals, with work reviewed upon completion.

  • Act as a key organizational representative on contracts or projects, engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.

  • Operate within ERP systems to manage outcomes for assigned commodity types, receiving minimal instruction for day-to-day tasks and general guidance on new assignments.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Hands on experience with SAP

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
